Andrea Moser and Gerhard Sanin are both Kellermeister, winemakers, that is, for Cantina Kaltern and for Erste+Neue, respectively, two cooperative wineries of Kaltern. Both are cyclists in their free time, and both have dedicated their professional lives to the development and promotion of the grape varieties classic to the Alto Adige, paying particular attention to Vernatsch (Schiava), the grape that yields Kalterersee and of which both Cantina Kaltern and Erste+Neue are the best-known and most-awarded producers.
